It is extremely important that all PPE equipment is correctly tested and certified, especially since the rise in the demand due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The Conformitè Europëenne (CE) Mark certifies that the PPE meets the relevant EN performance standards and will therefore be able to do the job it is designed for. CE certified PPE equipment will have undergone a series of tests on physical characteristics including tear strength, puncture and anti-static properties, abrasion resistance and overall performance to ensure the correct protection. HOW TO CHECK IF A PRODUCT IS CE MARKED:
The most common way to check that a product has CE marking is to look for the symbol (shown in picture). It is usually displayed on the product or its packaging/information. You can also request the products certificate of conformity and/or a declaration of performance to check.
